Meet Channing

Say hello to Channing

Our social girl with a film camera heart and hostess energy baked all the way in. She’s the mind behind ENC’s social presence and the keeper of the human pulse. A night owl turned sunrise romantic, she brings warmth, imperfection, and story to everything she captures. Thoughtful, intuitive, and quietly powerful, she makes social feel less like marketing and more like belonging.

What’s a small, ordinary thing that brings you a disproportionate amount of joy?

Grocery shopping! BUT only if I have the time to leisurely stroll the aisles, scouting out the newest beautifully packaged goods and picking out some in season produce to try out a new recipe.

Morning person or night owl? And how does that show up in your work?

Welllll naturally I'm a night owl, always getting hit with a second wave of energy and creativity as the sun goes down. But these days, you’ll find me in bed early, dreaming about the creative ideas I’ll bring to life in the morning. I'm a sunset/sunrise girl at heart, so you'll see lots of warm colors show up in my work:)

What’s your current hyper-fixation?

My film camera — she's a 1980's Minolta X-700, and I love her. Typically shooting on Portra 400!

What does your perfect “no work allowed” day look like?

Waking up to a latte-in-bed made by my barista husband, Jett. Next, we're up and at 'em for a long walk or hike, with our dog Milo leading the way. Making our next stop at Harlem Coffee for an iced matcha and sitting on the patio to read or play a game of gin rummy. Have to get in a Facetime to my fam in Texas of course. I'm an extrovert at heart, so we would have a big dinner party at our home to end the day surrounded by all of our dear friends. Ending the night with a glass of Pinot Noir or a New Zealand Sauv Blanc and watching an episode of Gilmore Girls.

Coffee order, tea ritual, or something else entirely?

½ sweet vanilla latte (iced 70% of the time bc... Arizona, and hot 30% of the time)

What’s a belief or mindset that’s quietly changed the way you work or live?

Care over convenience! The convenient thing for me is not always the right way to approach things. Listening to others, putting myself in their shoes, and shifting my perspective to put others before myself is something I am continually striving towards both personally and professionally.

What’s something you’ve intentionally unlearned in the last few years?

That asking for help makes me seem unintelligent. The more brains the better these days!

When the algorithm is algorithming, what brings you back to center?

The real, raw humanness that still exists amidst all the screens. It's good to see the human hands behind the screen, even if it doesn't feel perfect or fully prepped for.

What’s your ideal flow for a content day from coffee to upload?

EEEEK my favorite days! IMPORTANT: coffee in hand, phones/cameras charged, outfit that exudes confidence feels comfortable, and tunes playing. Every content day is different, but a beautiful mix of planned shots and on-the-fly ideas is how I like to roll. Getting the necessities, playing in between, and reflecting on all the good angles we got at the end of the day.

What makes content actually stop the scroll for you?

Something that feels hand done. It needs to have texture, depth, and an imperfection here and there:)

What’s something people underestimate about good social media?

Good social media tells you a story. It brings a brand to life in a way that feels personal. Like you're getting an inside scoop on their day to day!

How do you balance aesthetics with authenticity when you’re capturing in real time?

Working on this constantly! Social media feeds used to be 100% geared towards the feed aesthetic and now people want to see more of that authentic side of things. At ENC, your feed will always look polished but in a way that feels genuine to who your brand is.

Switching gears, we all know you love a dinner party. What’s your signature move when hosting a dinner party?

Prepping beforehand!!!!! I love to take my time when cooking, so preparing as much as I can (decor, food, tablescape, florals) the day before so that the day of I can be intentional with everything my hands touch.

Ideal game night lineup—what’s on the table?

Mahjong, catch phrase, tapple, and gin rummy if its two people!

We'd be remiss if we didn't mention Texas sports. Who's your team and what's the game day vibe: at home, at the bar, or in the stands?

I will forever and always be a Texas Tech Red Raider at heart:) In the stands with my red cowboy boots on is ideal!

And because we are all fashion ladies here, what’s your go-to outfit formula for casual but put-together?

A vibe sandwich! Top & shoes are one vibe with pants & accessories being another vibe (ex. masculine, feminine, sporty, tailored, etc.)

What’s grounding you lately outside of work?

Quiet time spent in prayer!
